These two boys and their dogs are both examples of Hummel-style MiJ figurines. Literally hundreds of these knock-offs were produced to take advantage of the popularity of the German-manufactured originals. The quality of the reproductions varies greatly, but these two are among the better executed versions. Boy losing pants (left): 5 1/4" high x 3 1/2" wide x 2 3.4" deep with a silver Napco sticker and stamped "Pant-ing" AHIJ. Boy musician (right): 6" high x 3 1/2" wide x 2 1/8" deep and stamped with a black "Made in Occupied Japan"
